Jennie and Calli

So Jennie is sitting next to me messing around with Facebook while I blog.  As we are sitting here Calli jumps up on Jennie and litterly climbs up onto her back!  Luckily we were there, with the camera, and this is the picture...

Here she is!

From another angle:

That One Good Picture

Jennie claims this is the ONE good picture of her I've ever taken.  So here... it.... is.......!

This was from Christmas 2008.  What is that I hear you saying?  Jason promised to show pictures of 2008 Christmas a long time ago?  I need to do that, don't I!  Okay, we'll get on it shortly.

Happy Birthday Peggy

Okay, way back in November, for Peggy's Birthday (that's Jennie's Mom) we went out to Roma's Italian restaurant for her birthday dinner! It was a great time. And though it was some time ago, I remember a few things about it. 1) I remember Riley sitting next to Jim (Jennie's Brother) and realizing how extremely alike they two are. They both have the same sense of humor, and laughed together all night long. 2) I remember how nice and beautiful Jennie looked! 3) I remember the food was excellent, and though it took a long time to get there, it was REALLY good. A great night. Afterward we all drove over to Jennie's parents house, and we wound through the backstreets of Holiday, and saw some of the big houses there all lit up with their Christmas lights. Then all the adults got together and played a game of UNO! It was a great night and I hope Peggy remembers it with a smile!

Here are me and Asher!

Here is the beautiful Jennie!

Here are Peggy, Josh, Ame, Caitlen and Riley

Here is Jennie, John, Ramie, Jim, and Riley (again!)

And here is a quick video shot of us all!

Riley

Here is a school picture of Riley! I THINK it is from this year!

The Worst Hard Time

I'm reading this book, The Worst Hard Time, which Jennie gave me for Christmas. It's about the Oklahoma Panhandle during the Great Depression, and how the land turned into the Dust Bowl. The beginning tells of the Indians and how they lived on the great wide expanse of grassland that was so flat that it just went on for miles and miles and miles. It was called No Man's Land, and was the last unsettled part of America, and was given away dirt cheap to people in the early 1900s. I'm really enjoying it, and I'll give you a full review later!

The Kids

I'm working on scanning Riley's Photos, but right now here is an old picture composite my Dad did of the three kids when they were quite a bit younger!

Ame

Ame went next door and the neighbors did her hair for her. She was really thrilled with it, so we took a few pictures of it! Here they are!

Dog Training School

So every Thursday night Jennie and I take Churchill and Boo to dog training class.  It took Churchill two weeks, but he finally learned SIT.  So he's getting it.  Boo is a bit harder, being deaf, but she's getting it too.  And did I mention she was sick?  REALLY sick.  We took her to the vet like four times.  Stomach problems, but they are better now and she's back to her old happy self!  Here are some dog training class pictures!

Where have we been?

We've been busy unfortunately, but I need to get back to this, and so at Elizabeth's request, we'll post a few more entries for your entertainment and education!  This weekend Jennie and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire.  An absolutely FABULOUS movie. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE.  We just preordered the DVD and we will sit as a family and watch it with the kids.  I will talk more about this movie later, but suffice it to say, it is one of the best ever.

Before the movie I took Jennie out for a night, we went shopping to Bath and Body, Victoria Secret, and then bought a new toaster!  Ours kept burning out toast!  We then, inspired by all the pasta cook books at William and Sonoma, went over to Macaroni grill where Jennie had the Lobster Ravioli and I had a perfectly cooked steak.  Enjoyable.  Then we went to the movie.

Riley had his birthday party this weekend!  He invited five friends over and they stayed the night and sat and played video games and beat each other with foam swords.  It was great fun.  We got them pizza from Dominos (yuck).   They had a great time.  Ame went over to Ruby's house and stayed the night.

The weather is getting warm.  Jennie on Saturday morning got up to go get her hair done in SLC, and I went to work.  Then I came back and hung out with Asher downstairs for a couple hours helping him paint miniatures, his new hobby.  He's working on a beauty that once done, I'll take a photo of and include.

Then last night my Dad and Mom came by and visited, and my Mom get to spend time with the dogs.  For some reason she thinks Boo is cute.  Not sure about that.  (grin).  They then took Asher, who spent the night with them.  This morning my Dad came by early and picked up Riley and Ame, and they went skiing over at Snowbird.

I got up, went and got Coffee and Bagels and catfood (because we were out) and now I'm back here doing this.  Jennie is sitting on her computer messing around with her music collection.  We are sitting here listening to the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack which Jennie bought last night on Itunes (after swearing at her computer a few times first, because it wouldn't accept her password).  It is a great album.  And a great movie.  Did I mention that it's a great movie yet?

Riley's Birthday

March 2nd, 1996, Riley Anthon Isaiah Smith was born. And you want pictures right? Well they will have to come later. I have some scanning to do, but we'll get you some pictures soon. Just don't forget, it's Riley's birthday tomorrow!

Weekend

So what are we doing this weekend? Well, it was a long week. I put in some long hours and so did Jennie. We did stay up long enough Friday to watch Battlestar Galactica. 3 more episodes to go. This one was pretty good, though I still think they are screwing up the end of the story. We went out to Breadstix for dinner, and Jennie bought me a prime rib! Jennie had fishsticks. Some weird Catholic thing. I took my computer to Provo to get the Video Card fixed which had a broken fan. Our paints for Games Workshop showed up. I'll tell you more about that later.

So we slept in yesterday, then spent the entire day messing around creating a banner for www.dogstargames.com. Jennie did the artwork for our Dogstar, which present unto you, heeee...ah (said in Eric Cartmen's voice)

We went to my Dad's house, and helped us make the banner on Photoshop. Afterwards we came back. The kids went Skiing with the ski school except for Asher, who went skiing with Skate. Skate came by and picked him up early in the morning and they had a great day skiing. That was really nice of Skate to do that. After seeing my Mom and Dad, and hanging out with their pets, we came home, ate breakfast again, watched Dollhouse on TV, then two episodes of South Park including the iconic classic: Scott Tenorman Must Die.

Today... Paul is in town and we are all going down to John and Peg's house for festivities. Jennie and I are both bringing out cameras, so I will be able to update the blog with festivity pictures.

Oh, how about that banner? Here it is.

Nope, nevermind. It's on a different computer. Go to www.dogstargames.com and the banner along the top is yesterday's work!
