Wolf

When I was a kid, my parents got me a St. Bernard who we named Wolf. Now, later in life, as you know, they gave me Churchill, our new baby St. Bernard. Churchhill is growing like you cannot believe. When we got him Christmas he weight 25 pounds. He has doubled already, and weighs 50 pounds. That's just 2 months later!! Anyway, here is a photo of Wolf. You can see how big he was!

And here is my other pet... Gus the Lion!

Weekend

Not much happened this weekend. Mostly Jennie studied, and nearly lost her mind doing it. Poor woman. Big test tomorrow! I did a review of a T.V. show and a Book, you might want to read those on my other blog, http://www.jasonfsmith.blogspot.com/ so if you want to go check those out, you can.
Anyway, here are a few pictures. Here is Churchill, sleeping.

And like the mythical Sasquatch, there is a creature that lurks around our house unseen except when you least expect it. Below, in a rare rare photograph, in what we believe is a picture of the mythical possibly extra terrestrial BUG.

Here Jennie is playing with Figgy while Ame watches in the background. Jennies is about to give me a sweet gesture of LOVE!

Then, lurking in the depths the bed, is a dark creature of unimaginable horror, a beast of such desultory reputation and fiendish smell that they dare not speak her name, lest it's very sound rupture the eardrums and sink it's fangs into the virgin soul of all who hear it uttered!

And lest ye think that is the only evil lurking in the environs, here is another ghostly figure of quiet creeping doom!

And finally, we present to you a Churchill who decided that he fit inside little Boo's crate, and laid down for a long winter's nap.

And then finally again, a rare and very exciting picture of the fabled creature... BUG!

Skiing

So we didn't got to the cabin because of the weather, but we got invited to Park City to ski with Dr. Stanchfield (Jennie's Dad) and so we went! It turned out to be a gorgeous day, with really blue skies, and great conditions on the snow. We had a great time. Here are a couple pictures of us!

The Great Exercise Day

So Ame, with Jennie's help, choose as science project, to do it on healthy eating. The easy way to explain this is to say that we all did exercise tests and then half of us ate healthy for a month (Asher, Riley, Ame, and Jennie) and the rest of us (Me and some other control subjects) ate normally. Here are some pictures. Ame did her science project presentation, and it turned out really well. I really liked her poster board. She really surprised me with it.

Here are the kids pre exercise!

The Great Valentine Day Vacation

Hello from Idaho! Well... not really. The kids went to my folks house for the weekend and we got all packed to go to the Cabin in Idaho (Jennie's parents cabin) and the weather thwarted us. So we spent the day quietly here at home (hey, no kids, so it's kind of nice). Jennie studied, I went out and surprised her with lunch, and got some steaks for tonight. I watched a bit of Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring, and we watched a movie called Pineapple Express with Seth Rogan, which was pretty funny, but kind of fizzled out at the end. That's our vacation so far. Oh, we plan on going Skiing tomorrow with Jennie's Dad at Park City. I rented skis from Brothers Bikes here in Heber. We're excited. I'll take the camera and take video and pictures of the excursion. Right now though, it's just a peaceful night at the house alone. Maybe I'll blog about something else.

Asher's Birthday

Tonight Jennie and I surprised Asher and took him to the Snake Creek Grill, where he had a Rib eye steak. It was a great dinner, and laughed and told stories about Austin Powers and Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy. It was a nice special evening with him! So here is a picture of him tonight. we had a picture of him the day he was born, 15 years ago, so why not a picture of him now? He was so good looking as a kid, but as my Mom used to say about me, What happened? (Grin!) So here he is, 15 years later!
