Yes, so much stuff has been happening, and I need to update you on it all. But... instead of doing that, I'm going to show you the last four paintings I did. You know, put my own ego ahead of your need to know what's going on in our lives. That's me. Call me an ARTISTE!
This picture below I painted with Asher watching. I felt good about this going into it. My confidence was high. I came out feeling like utter crap, and that I had made the worlds WORST painting. The next morning it wasn't THAT bad, but it was close. Asher liked the sky. That's something... I had to apologize to him for teaching him about 50 new swear words. He thought the whole thing was funny. Hey, maybe I can invent a new kind of art: Comedy Art.
So this piece was a recovery. Asher painted it with me, and signed it. We got a little better. Jennie saw this and said it was good. I still suspect that deep down I suck. But I get so much enjoyment out of it. It's like some sick black hole I'm getting sucked into. Bad art....
This one I did last night. A summer mountain. I had high hopes for this one, but of course they got dashed. I just wish I could PAINT!
Okay, here is tonight's painting, and Ame did a good bit of it. If there is any good in this one I guess you give her credit. For someone who has absolutely no talent in his body, I certainly do keep trying. I'm hoping one day it all clicks and I turn into a friggen genius painter. And people actually pay me to throw paint on a flimsy white piece of canvas. But until that day, I'll have to just go on pure flimsy hope. Notice the nice reflections. If only they were the right color.
